Tayfun Karatekin had a couple of singles released in his native Turkey when he arrived to Sweden. Tayfun himself is a powerful singer, with a rich baryton voice that at times has a striking resemblance to 60's Scott Walker. Tayfun to oversing with a distinctive and forceful voice like that, going Tom Jones all over the music.
It's definitely a product of its time, simply because they don't make albums like this anymore.
The band, Stardust International members are from all over the world. The founder Dick Major is American, the other members are British, Czechoslovakian, Swedish even Peruvian.
Here; a lavishly produced album with touches of pop rock, jazz, asphalt soul and funk..
